How Do I Become a Hospice Volunteer?

The first step in becoming a volunteer is to call the Volunteer Coordinator, Marta Davis, at (480) 726-7773, or email her directly at mdavis@americarehospice.org. 

She will have you fill out a volunteer application and meet with you in person for an interview.  Considerations to your personal preferences, interests, and talents will be explored to determine what type of volunteer work will be fitting for you.  You will then go through the orientation and training program before being assigned to a volunteer assignment.  We have flexible commitment levels and provide continuing education and peer support groups.
